mrlacey — Drum Machine
This is "Drum Machine". It's an experiment into using the phone to represent another physical object and interacting within a virtual world.
As the name suggests, the app allows the phone to represent a drum stick and by moving the phone we can simulate hitting different parts of a drum kit.
Not only is a phone smaller than a drum kit but it's also easier to turn the volume down.
You can also use two phones to represent two drum sticks.
The app shows a simple example of interacting with objects that don't exist (a snare, hi-hat and cymbal) but this could easily be extended to allow for interaction with other virtual worlds or simulations of other physical ones.
This is still in an experimental state at the moment but depending on feedback, the app or source code may be released at a later date.
